International Conference on Criminal Justice under Stress

 Partner Jagtar Kulair and Aman Chhina traveled to India to attend the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Indian Law Institute, Delhi at the invitation of Hon’ble Mr Jusitce Swatanter Kumar in Delhi now the Chief Justice of Mumbai and Mr. H.R Bhadwaj, Hon’ble Minister for Law and Justice, Government of India. The event included an International Conference on ‘Criminal Justice under stress and Transactional perspectives. Speakers included The Rt Hon Lord Chief Justice; Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers (Head of the Judiciary of England and Wales) who addressed the conference on Terrorism and the Criminal Justice System, Lord Phillips has recently been appointed Senior Lord of Appeal in Ordinary. Other speakers included Mr Justice Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry, Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mr Justice Syed J.R. Mudassir Hussain, Chief Justice of Bangladesh, Mr Justice Chan Sek Keong, Chief Justice of Singapore. Topics covered at the conference also included Money Laundering and the Shifting Criminal Justice System.
